He doesnвЂ™t really need saving, as by the time you reach him, the majority of goblins may have already been killed.ДЄfter saving Haldir, destroy the goblin cave and head back to the path, this time head to the Northwest of the map, making sure to destroy all goblins, buildings and giants. Once you get far enough you should receive the objective of rescuing Haldir.

Once cleansed, head back to the fork and carry on the path northwards. Once you hit a fork, head to the East path which will shortly head upwards and cleanse the area. Once it is destroyed, head back down to your base and head along the path to the East, making sure to destroy all goblin caves, giants and goblins as you head along.

Kill all the goblins as you head up and eventually you will see a large ice tower, which will be destroyed by a giant. Once everything is built and recruited, move up the North path first heading towards the top of the map. Silverthorn arrows kill incredibly quickly, and Elven armour will keep your army alive for longer too, so I recommend that you research both of these upgrades and apply to them to all units as well. I recommend building at least 3 Mallorn trees with the highest percentage possible, a fully upgraded barracks and forge too, a few watchtowers will help to keep your base safe as well.ДЄfter Building the base the next thing to do will be recruiting an army, with the elven forces you would be a fool not to go with an all archer army. Once all of the buildings have been destroyed a Wyrm will appear, use your army to attack and destroy it! Once the Wyrm has been slain the level will end granting you the first level of the campaign complete without any heroes dying and an Achievement. Your only real issue is the Giants, but again they shouldnвЂ™t be too difficult to kill. Some units will attack whilst you destroy the buildings, but your cavalry should wipe the floor with them. Start destroying all of the buildings outside of Rivendell. Let them arrive and move Arwen and Gloin, who should now be level 2, back to Rivendell and move out with your army. Once these have been defeated Arwen will appear with some cavalry. Once these have been defeated some Lorien archers will appear on the left of the map too, move them towards the centre and as soon as you're done some more goblins, 2 trolls and a giant will attack from the left. Attack and destroy these goblins вЂ“ try and let Gloin kill as many as possible to level him up! Once you have built your first unit you will be attacked by goblins toward the left of the map. This is your power screen, the most useful power you will have is heal, so I made it the first I purchased, which will net you:ДЇollow the on-screen prompts to train a unit of elves while youвЂ™re at it build a few units as you will need them. Here you will unlock Elrond and Gloin as heroes, so keep Elrond and Glorfindel at the back and move Gloin to the front as he will need to become at least level 2 before the end of the level.ДЄt this point open up your Palantir by holding and select powers with, and select again with. Again, these should be dealt with, move your elves across the bridge and into Rivendell. Once this unit has been slain, continue along the path to the right and help slay the 2 units of goblins attacking the elven unit. To select every unit on screen hold and you should see the bases light up blue, press to select, and you should be controlling all units on screen.

Start off by moving Glorfindel and the elves to the right and attack the first unit of goblins you should deal with these easily.
